As early as the mid 1980's David Norris realized that some meeting locations were just not "user friendly." At the time, David was the Vice President of North America Operations with Fisher Rosemount, now Emerson, located in Austin, Texas.
For years, Dave Norris said, "I have suffered through sitting in meeting rooms that were too cold, too hot and often poorly lit." In addition, he often found himself wandering back service hallways looking for someone to service their breaks. His worst nightmare was when, "during a critical presentation, my comments were drowned out by the roaring and cheering of the group in the meeting room next to ours."
Some of you may relate to these experiences, some may have stories of your own and to be fair, some events go off without a hitch. However, after years of these types of experiences, Mr. Norris found himself contemplating the following, "what if I created a day meeting facility, designed for the executive in mind, that limited the distractions and focused on nothing but taking care of the customer sitting in our meeting space?" The rest is history.
Beginning with our first location in Austin, Texas in 1990, and now 20 years later, Norris has grown from a two meeting room facility to a four-city business. Annually, we host over 3,400 meetings, 100 plus wedding receptions and numerous other social events, including small trade shows and holiday parties.
The Norris team understands that our customers have a choice, but history indicates that once a customer tries us, they become clients for years.
