NORRIS CONFERENCE CENTERS
TO OPEN FACILITY IN
SUNDANCE SQUARE
Facility to Support Need for Specialized Meeting and
Convention Space in Fort Worth
FORT
WORTH, Texas (January 7, 2008) – Norris Conference Centers and
Sundance Square have finalized a deal that will bring the conference
facilities to downtown Fort Worth in the location occupied by AMC
Sundance 11 on Houston Street. AMC Entertainment Inc. will continue
to operate in Sundance Square, consolidating its operations into AMC
Palace 9 on East 3rd Street.
“The addition of Norris Conference Center greatly expands our
services in Sundance Square,” said Johnny Campbell, President and
CEO of Sundance Square. “SundanceSquare will now have
premium space and services for meetings, seminars, expos, training,
and special events. There is a great demand for this type of space
in downtown Fort Worth and this partnership will enable us to bring
additional business to the area.”
“Sundance Square has successfully completed the deal with AMC
and Norris which consolidates theatre operations into AMC Palace 9
with stadium seating,” continued Campbell. “Norris’ full conference
and meeting room facilities in Sundance Square will meet the growing
convention traffic and meeting facilities requests. Conference
attendees will enjoy all the shopping, dining and entertainment
options within walking distance of the Norris Conference
Center.”
Norris Conference Centers
will begin renovation of their new site immediately with plans to
open the 40,000 square foot facility in the fall of 2008. The
current design includes six executive meeting rooms, featuring floor
to ceiling soundproofed walls, individual thermostat controls and
additional features to support corporate training, and sales
meetings. One room will remain in a theatre-seating
configuration to support corporate meetings and press conferences.
Norris Conference Centers – Fort Worth will be capable of
hosting groups of as few as two to four participants and up to 300+
participants. Norris will rely on catering from Sundance
Square restaurants, local audio/visual providers, and other
hospitality related vendors to support their local operation.
“We are looking forward to being a
part of this great community,” said David Norris, president of
Norris Conference Centers. “Working with the local businesses,
we will continue to define Sundance Square as a prime destination
