Fort Worth One-Year Anniversary

This month, Norris management, staff, and clients will celebrate the one-year anniversary of NCC Fort Worth. The new Fort Worth conference center and Red Oak Ballroom, located in Forth Worth’s revitalized and trendy Sundance Square district, opened its doors in November of last year with a goal towards becoming part of the burgeoning community.

“Even with the difficult economy right now, we are more convinced that ever that the Fort Worth market is a great fit for us and our business model,” said Dave Norris, President, Norris Conference Centers.

“Over the past year, we have made some great friends in the Sundance neighborhood. We hope to continue to integrate and grow in downtown Fort Worth over the coming years,” said Blake Crane, General Manager, Fort Worth.

The facility recently christened a new entrance and awning, which welcomes passersby to its interior with the Norris signature teal color. “Definitely worth the wait!” said Jim Cone, Vice President, Norris Conference Centers.

Norris’ Fort Worth venue is a great place to hold a variety of events from day meetings and conferences to bar mitzvahs and weddings in its Red Oak Ballroom. Last year, Fort Worth successfully hosted the Lone Star Film Society’s Lone Star International Film Festival. This year, the five-day festival will take place November 11-15, and feature a selection of narrative, documentary, feature, and short films from around the world, as the eclectic and artsy gather to meet and greet in Norris’ spacious and elegant viewing rooms.

“We have enjoyed being part of the Sundance community for the last year. We have an excellent staff and facility and look forward to growing our business in the years to come,” said Cone.

Your eyes pop open, you glance at the clock, its four a.m. and your all of a sudden worried that you’ve forgotten to: sign the contract for your event next week, confirm the speaker, book the flights, order the name badges, or some other neurotic / paranoid detail. For those that are diligent, you might even get out of bed and check your files or your computer. However, if you are like me, you will convince yourself that by simply writing a note in the glow of your alarm clock, you can stop worrying and go back to sleep. Of course, if you’re again, like me, you will just lie there obsessing on this and all the other details you might have forgotten. I’m not saying that structure and diligence will prevent all of these OMG moments from happening, but applying adequate structure and being disciplined to implement it on a consistent basis, can assist. Norris Expansion Plans for 2008

Adding to our successes in Austin, Houston and San Antonio – Norris will be adding a conference center in downtown Fort Worth in the fall of 2008.

Norris Conference Centers - Fort Worth will feature eleven meeting rooms and will be located in beautiful Sundance Square in downtown Fort Worth. In addition to offering executive level meeting space, NCC-Fort Worth will also feature 3,000 sq. ft. and 5,000 sq. ft. Red Oak Ballrooms for social events similar to our ballrooms in San Antonio and Austin.

At CityCentre Houston, we will be opening our full service conference center, which will be connected to a full service hotel. CityCentre is a new 37-acre multi-use development located at the intersection of IH10 and west Sam Houston Tollway.  This project is scheduled for a late 2008 opening.

Dave Norris expressed his excitement when asked about their 2008 expansion plans, "We have been diligently working on finding the perfect locations for expanding our business and are thrilled with the locations we have selected to expand into."

Norris Centers Austin- Remodeling Update

Our new Austin facility is on track for opening in June, 2008.

Our final floorplans have been approved and permits are in. Within the next few business days, the hammers will begin swinging as we build-out our new facility, right next to where we have been serving our clients for over six years.

The new facility will offer the same great service including our excellent catering and state of the art audio visual equipment along with some great upgrades. We will now feature a 4,800 sq. ft., column free Red Oak Ballroom for larger meetings and social events.

As the rooms take shape, we will be extending an invitation to come by for a fun “hard hat” tour to get an “insiders” view of our new space.

Norris Conference Centers For immediate release: Conference Center owner/operator announces fourth consecutive year of double-digit growth.

Houston, TX – February 2007 – Norris Training Systems, Inc., which operates in Texas as Norris Conference Centers and Red Oak Ballroom announced another year of double digit growth driven by an increase in customer base of over 40%.

Norris facilities have served the Central Texas market since 1990 with conference centers and social venues initially in Austin, then Houston and most recently, San Antonio. Norris Conference Centers – San Antonio, which opened in September of 2005, began hitting its stride in 2006 and substantial further growth is expected in 2007.
